MP Gakpey Strengthens School Sports and Education Monitoring with Significant Support in Keta

The Member of Parliament for the Keta Constituency, Mr Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, has provided financial and logistical support to promote school sports and strengthen education delivery in the municipality.
As part of the intervention, the MP has released an amount of GH¢30,000 to the Keta Municipal Education Directorate to support preparations for the upcoming Basic Inter-District Competition and the maintenance of vehicles used by the Directorate.
The funding is expected to help the Directorate adequately prepare their athletes and officials for the competition while ensuring that its vehicles remain operational to facilitate effective monitoring and supervision of schools across the municipality.
In addition, Mr Gakpey has also facilitated the provision of twenty (20) mattresses through the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) office to support the accommodation needs of pupils and officials participating in the competition.
Speaking on the support, Mr Gakpey said the intervention formed part of his duties in improving education, promoting school sports and creating opportunities for young people in the Keta Constituency.
He stressed the importance of giving children opportunities to discover, develop and demonstrate their talents, noting that investment in school sports and related activities helps build confidence, teamwork, discipline and other essential skills among young people.
He further said maintaining the Education Directorate’s vehicles would enhance its mobility and enable education officials to effectively monitor and supervise schools towards the main aim promoting education across the municipality.
Mr Gakpey reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that improve education delivery and promote youth development, emphasising that sustained investment in children and education was critical to the future development of the Keta Constituency.
