MTN Ghana Foundation Donates Boxes of Relief Items to Hohoe Flood Victims

Hohoe (V/R) – October 2026

The MTN Ghana Foundation has donated 1,400 boxes of relief items to support residents affected by the recent floods in Hohoe in the Volta Region.

The donation, presented to the Foundations’ Presidency, is intended to provide immediate relief to families whose homes and properties were affected by the September 28 flooding, particularly in the Zongo and surrounding communities.

The relief boxes contain rice, other food items and detergents to help meet the immediate needs of affected households.

Mr Robert Kuzo, Senior Manager of the MTN Ghana Foundation, said the intervention formed part of the Foundation’s commitment to supporting national priorities and communities affected by emergencies.

“This is a short-term intervention to help affected families meet their immediate needs while longer-term support is mobilised to assist the affected communities.”

He said the donation reflected the Foundation’s commitment to supporting communities during times of crisis and contributing to national emergency relief efforts.

The September 28 floods caused significant disruption in parts of Hohoe, with several homes and properties inundated and families requiring urgent assistance.
