Edem Kpotosu Boosts Volta GJA Press Centre Project with Building Materials

Ho, Volta Region — July 2026

The Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Hon. Edem Kpotosu, has supported the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA)–Volta Region’s ongoing Press Centre Phase Two Project with a donation towards the completion of the facility.

The items which were 20 bags of cement were presented on Monday at the forecourt of the Press Centre and form part of the MP’s contribution towards the development of a modern media hub to serve journalists and media practitioners in Ho and the region at large.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Association, Dr Harrison Kofi Belley, Volta Regional Chairman of the GJA, expressed appreciation to Hon. Kpotosu for the support, describing it as timely and a significant boost to the project.

He said the contribution would aid ongoing efforts to complete the facility, which is expected to become a vital centre for media training, collaboration, and professional development in the region.

“The Press Centre is a collective investment in strengthening journalism and democratic development in the Volta Region. We encourage other stakeholders, institutions, and individuals to support this important project,” Dr Belley appealed.

The Phase Two Project involves the completion of the top floor, finishing works, furnishing, and other related activities required to transform the structure into a fully functional and modern Press Centre.

The GJA Volta Region has therefore called on corporate bodies, institutions, and development partners to support the completion of the project to enhance the working environment of journalists and promote quality journalism in the region.
