President Mahama announces key national security appointments
President John Dramani Mahama has made key appointments into the security sector Wednesday morning as part of moves to promote total security of all citizens.
Prosper Douglas Bani, former Chief of Staff and Minister for the Interior, has been named National Security Advisor to the President, bringing extensive experience to the role.
DCOP Abdul-Osman Razak has been appointed as the National Security Coordinator to spearhead cohesive security strategies.
Retired COP Nathan Kofi Boakye assumes the position of Director of Operations at the Presidency, tasked with ensuring operational effectiveness in security matters.
Charles Kipo has been appointed Director General of the National Intelligence Bureau, strengthening the country’s intelligence framework.
The appointments underscore President Mahama’s commitment to enhancing national security and safeguarding the well-being of all citizens, according to a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Acting Spokesperson to the President.
Earlier, the President announced the move to make such appointments during his tour to Bawku recently over security matters
