GES Volta Conducts Aptitude Test for SHS Assistant Head Aspirants

The Volta Regional Education Directorate has successfully conducted an aptitude test for 315 aspiring Senior High School (SHS) Assistant Heads.
The exercise which was held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Mawuli School Premises forms part of the selection process to evaluate candidates’ knowledge, competence, and preparedness for the role for leadership positions in schools.

According to the Directorate, 315 candidates participated in the exercise out of 350 application forms received .
The Directorate commended the candidates for their punctuality, discipline, cooperation, and professionalism, while wishing them success in the subsequent stages of the selection process.
“Effective school leadership is critical to improving teaching and learning outcomes. This aptitude test is a key step in identifying competent and committed educators who are ready to support the growth and transformation of our Senior High Schools in the Region” Mrs. Marian said
