Adamus Resources Limited has honoured 100 outstanding students in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region who excelled in the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Each of the beneficiaries received a chop box, 15 exercise books and pens to support their transition into senior high school and ease some of the financial burden on their families.
The District Director of Education, Mr Wilfred Katey Adodoadji, described the initiative as “the first of its kind in the whole district,” commending Adamus Resources for its commitment to supporting education in the area.
“Such an extraordinary act of generosity will help considerably to alleviate the financial challenges of parents of the beneficiaries,” he said.
Mr Adodoadji expressed profound gratitude to the company for what he described as a significant contribution towards educational development in the district.
He called for the initiative to be expanded to cover the best-performing 50 students from each of the 40 basic schools in the district, which, he noted, could increase the number of beneficiaries from 100 to 400 students annually.
The Senior Liaison Officer of Adamus Resources Limited, Mr Salifu Awumbilla, said the company attached great importance to education and was committed to helping provide children in its host communities with a strong educational foundation.
He said the company viewed education as an important pathway to improving the prospects of young people and strengthening the development of communities.
“Adamus will therefore not relent in doing everything within its resources to support schoolchildren in the Ellembelle District to excel,” he stressed.
Parents who witnessed the presentation expressed appreciation to Adamus Resources for the gesture, saying the items would provide meaningful support as their children prepared to continue their education.
Madam Suzy Ackah-Blay, one of the parents, said the initiative would help reduce the financial pressure on families at a time when the cost of providing basic educational materials remained a concern.
“We thank Adamus for this support. This will go a long way to cushion parents in these difficult times of buying school items for our kids,” she said.
The initiative forms part of Adamus Resources Limited’s efforts to support education and promote improved learning outcomes among children within the Ellembelle District.
