Madam Sarah Adwoa Safo, former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, has reportedly been injured during an alleged shooting incident on Sunday morning.
The incident is said to have occurred at the residence of her younger brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, where she was present at the time of the disturbance. She is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital.
According to sources, the shooting is linked to tensions surrounding an ongoing leadership succession dispute within the Kristo Asafo Mission, following the passing of the movement’s founder, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo.

Witnesses claim that armed individuals discharged several rounds during a gathering reportedly held in support of efforts to install Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena as successor to the late founder. Unconfirmed reports suggest that about 15 rounds of ammunition were fired.
Sources close to Adwoa Safo allege that she sustained a minor injury after a bullet grazed her near the neck.
The dispute is said to have generated legal tensions, with some family members reportedly opposing attempts to elevate Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena to the leadership of the organisation.
Meanwhile, there has been no official statement from the Ghana Police Service regarding the incident as investigations are expected to commence.
