Black Stars Head Coach Carlos Queiroz has expressed heartfelt solidarity with victims of the devastating floods that have affected parts of Accra, assuring them that the national team stands with them during this difficult period.
In a message issued on behalf of himself, his technical team, and the entire Black Stars squad currently in the United States, Queiroz conveyed his deepest condolences to families who have lost loved ones, those displaced from their homes, and all others impacted by the disaster.

He described the images and reports from Ghana as heartbreaking, emphasizing that although the team is preparing for its upcoming World Cup match against Colombia, their thoughts remain with the people of Ghana.
“Football is secondary. Ghana is one family. When Accra suffers, we all suffer,” Queiroz stated.
The Black Stars coach added that the team would carry the people of Accra in their hearts when they take to the field, expressing hope that their performance would bring encouragement and pride to Ghanaians during these challenging times
“We will carry the people of Accra in our hearts when we walk out at Kansas City Stadium on July 3. Your resilience is our inspiration. We will give everything to make you proud and to bring some hope in this difficult time,” he stated.
He concluded with a message of resilience: “Stay strong, Accra. Stay strong, Ghana. We stand with you.”
