Xornam Favour (Mama Dzewoe II) Marks 30th Birthday with Historic Outreach to Inmates in Ketu South

Madam Xornam Favour Ignatious-Dei, the NDC Deputy Women’s Organizer for the Ketu South Constituency, has marked her 30th birthday with a landmark humanitarian outreach to inmates across all five police cells in the constituency.

Madam Favour, who is also a Development Queen Mother of Aflao, known in traditional circles as Mama Dzewoe II, led the initiative as part of her commitment to community service and social welfare.

The outreach, which covered two police cells and facilities across Denu, Tokor, and Agbozume, saw inmates receive donations of food, toiletries, and other essential items. Special prayers were also offered for the inmates, seeking divine guidance, transformation, and hope for a brighter future.

The initiative extended beyond the inmates to include police officers working in the various facilities, who received tokens of appreciation in recognition of their dedication to maintaining peace, security, and order in the constituency.

Speaking during the outreach, Mama Dzewoe II emphasized the importance of compassion and second chances for individuals in custody.

“Every individual deserves hope, compassion, and the opportunity to become a better version of themselves. This outreach was not only about donating items but also about restoring dignity and encouraging positive transformation,” she said.

The team spent time interacting with inmates, listening to their stories, and encouraging them to remain hopeful despite their circumstances. As part of the next phase of the initiative, efforts are being explored to support qualifying inmates in securing their freedom and successfully reintegrating into society.

She described the moment as fulfilling moments of her life, and urged the inmates to continue to trust God irrespective of their condition

“Celebrating my 30th birthday by touching lives and bringing hope to those often forgotten has been one of the most humbling and fulfilling experiences of my life. True celebration lies in serving others and making a positive difference in society,” she added.

The outreach is believed to be the first of its kind in Ketu South, with all five police cells receiving humanitarian support under a single coordinated initiative, making it a significant milestone in community service and social intervention within the constituency.

Some police officers present described the initiative as heartwarming, expressing appreciation to the donors for their benevolent gesture.

“This is a very heartwarming gesture. We are truly grateful for this kind of support, which goes a long way to motivate us in the discharge of our duties,” one officer said
