GETFund Sets New Date for Sod-Cutting of Major Infrastructure Projects at KETASCO

Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO) is set to benefit from a major infrastructure expansion project under the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), following the announcement of a sod-cutting ceremony scheduled for Friday, May 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. on the school campus.

The project package includes the construction of a multipurpose assembly hall, a dining hall with kitchen facilities, a two-storey science laboratory equipped with modern facilities, a three-storey 18-unit classroom block, and a steel bridge to improve accessibility within the school.

The ceremony which was initially scheduled to come off on Wednesday 29th April was rescheduled due to the visit of President John Mahama

The ceremony is expected to be attended by President John Dramani Mahama, Volta Regional Minister James Gunu, Member of Parliament for Keta Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, and Keta Municipal Chief Executive Wisdom Seade.

The initiative forms part of efforts to improve educational infrastructure and create a more conducive teaching and learning environment for students and staff of the school. The planned facilities are also expected to enhance academic activities, science education, and general student welfare at KETASCO.

Some staff and students engaged by Veritas News GH expressed appreciation for the project, stating that it would improve the school’s academic environment and enhance the welfare of the student body.
