‎Honorable Daniel Dagba, The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Akatsi South District, on Thursday, March 27, 2026, received a team of consultants in his office as part of ongoing efforts to implement the government’s flagship 24-hour economy policy.
‎The visit formed a key component of a site inspection exercise aimed at advancing plans for the construction of a modern model market within the municipality. Following a brief meeting, the MCE and the delegation proceeded to the proposed project site at the Akatsi South Central Market.
‎The presence of the consultants sparked excitement among market women and residents, who expressed optimism about the potential impact of the project. Many see the initiative as a major step toward boosting economic activity and improving livelihoods in the area.
‎The proposed 24-hour economy model market is expected to significantly transform the socio-economic landscape of Akatsi South. In addition to the market, the project will include essential infrastructure such as a car park, a school, a healthcare facility, and other modern amenities designed to support continuous economic activity.

‎Hon. Dagba commended the government for its commitment to inclusive development and expressed confidence in the successful execution of the initiative.
‎He also extended gratitude to the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, for his visionary leadership and dedication to improving the lives of Ghanaians.
‎The MCE reaffirmed the municipality’s readiness to support the project, noting that its successful completion would bring lasting benefits to the people of Akatsi South.
