Aspire Executive Institute launches mentorship program to empower SOGASCO students

Sogakofe (Volta Region), May 2026

Aspire Executive Institute, a professional training and development organisation, has inspired final-year students of Sogakope Senior High School through its Alumni Mentorship & Outreach Program.

The institute officially launched the initiative at the school in the Volta Region to invest in the next generation of leaders by providing career guidance, leadership training, and essential academic support to over 1,000 final-year students.

The program brought together alumni professionals, including social media influencer Dickson Assan, who mentored students and shared real-world experiences in accounting, finance, personal branding, and leadership.

As part of the initiative, Aspire Executive Institute donated textbooks and exercise books worth over GH¢20,000 to the school library to strengthen academic resources and create a more conducive learning environment.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Elikplim Yevugah, a senior lecturer at the institute who led the team, said the vision of the program is to empower students to look beyond their immediate challenges and aspire to global standards in education and professional practice.

“Our vision is to empower students to see beyond their immediate challenges and aspire to global standards in education and professional practice through mentorship and resource support. We are building a bridge between alumni success and student potential,” Dr. Yevugah stated.

He also encouraged the students to take their studies seriously in order to achieve their dreams, particularly those aspiring to become Chartered Accountants.

Dr. Yevugah further explained that the program aims to connect alumni professionals with students through mentorship and career guidance, inspire leadership and community service among the youth, expose students to global professional opportunities through ICAG and related institutions, and support academic excellence through resource donations.

To further motivate the students, the institute rewarded outstanding performers in the school’s recent mock examinations in subjects including Economics, Accounting, Business Management, and Cost Accounting.

Mr. James R.K. Dzakah, Assistant Headmaster in charge of Academics, expressed gratitude to the institute for the initiative.

“This program is timely. It motivates our students, especially the 1,346 final-year students currently writing the WASSCE, to excel in their examinations and prepares them for life beyond school. The library support will also benefit generations of students to come,” he said.

Aspire Executive Institute, which aligns its programs with ICAG and CITG standards, has supported over 2,000 students across more than 60 subject areas through its secure Computer-Based Examination (CBE) platform and finance-focused job portal.

The Alumni Mentorship & Outreach Program is expected to expand to more schools across the Volta Region as part of efforts to nurture future leaders and strengthen educational development.
