Anloga (Volta Region)- June 2026

The Anlo Senior High School community has formally inducted its 2026 graduating students into its global alumni network, known as ANSSOSA Global, at a colourful ceremony that also celebrated academic excellence and student achievement.

The induction ceremony, which marked the transition of the graduates from students to lifelong members of the school’s old students’ association, was held on Saturday, June 6, 2026. It formed part of activities celebrating academic excellence and school pride.

The event officially welcomed the graduates into a global alumni network, reinforcing their enduring bond with the school and its core values of discipline, leadership, and service.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of four outstanding graduates who distinguished themselves through exceptional academic performance in the 2026 WASSCE.

Miss Beauty Akpene Xaxali of the General Arts Department was named the Most Outstanding Female Student after scoring 3,979 out of 4,800. She received a 13-inch Samsung tablet in recognition of her achievement.

In the Boys’ category, Master Yoyeme Yao Ativor of the General Science stream placed third overall with a score of 4,169 out of 4,800 and also received a 13-inch Samsung tablet.

Master Emmanuel Setsorfia Kofi Nyonyo secured second place with a score of 4,202 out of 4,800 and was likewise awarded a 13-inch Samsung tablet.

The highest honour went to Master Paul Eleagbe Mac-Billy, who emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student with a score of 4,220 out of 4,800. He was presented with a brand-new HP laptop.

A total of about 765 students were inducted, comprising 425 females and 340 males

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Andy Hanyabui, President of the ANSSOSA Global Executive Committee, urged the newly inducted members to remain closely connected to their alma mater and to actively contribute to the development of the school wherever they find themselves. He further emphasised the importance of networking, mentorship, and sustained commitment to giving back to the institution that played a key role in shaping their academic and personal growth.

Mr Richard Kwame Sefe, Member of Parliament for the area and an alumnus who served as the Special Guest of Honour, advised the graduates to avoid drug abuse and to acquire at least one vocational or technical skill while awaiting their examination results. He stressed self-discipline and productive engagement as key pathways to future success.

“As young ones, you must stay away from drug abuse and use this transition period to acquire at least one practical skill while you await your results, just as the motto ‘The Star of Anloland’ makes sure you shine everywhere you find yourself.” Mr. Sefe advised

Mr Sefe honoured some awardees with undisclosed donations, advising them to continue their leadership and academic excellence as they aspire to higher education

The awards ceremony drew commendation from school authorities and stakeholders, with the recipients praised for their discipline, consistency, and academic commitment.

Mr Newman Dziedzorve, the Headteacher of the school, used the moment to congratulate the students for their dedicated hard work over the period. He also called on them to remain disciplined even as they leave high school.

Mr Newman appreciated the efforts by the ANSSOSA leadership for their efforts in bridging the gap between the school community and the alumni network

The induction, alongside the awards presentation, showcased a dual celebration of transition and excellence, marking the beginning of a lifelong relationship between the 2026 graduates and the ANSSOSA Global community.

The Anlo Senior High School Old Students Association, known as ANSSOSA Global, is the official umbrella alumni network for all past students of the school. It serves as a coordinating body for all year groups in matters relating to the institution.
