Richard Sefe celebrates victory and unveils transformational plans for constituents
Richard Kwame Sefe, the newly re-elected Member of Parliament for Anlo Constituency in the Volta Region, has hosted a victory thanksgiving service to celebrate his success in the just-ended general elections.
The ceremony which was held Sunday afternoon at Anlo Senior High School (ANSECO) Dining Hall of was organized in partnership with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency executives and the Keta-Anloga Minister Association.
Mr Rolex Agbe Miheso, Chairman of the NDC in Anlo, expressed gratitude to all party executives for their support in securing the win while pledging his support to Mr Sefe to continue the projects that had been initiated during his first term.
In his inaugural speech, Mr Sefe thanked the people of Anlo for their overwhelming support, acknowledging the peaceful atmosphere during the elections, which he credited to the prayers of the clergy and traditional leaders.
Reflecting on his previous term, he highlighted several achievements, including improvements in road infrastructure and education. Notable projects included the Anyanui-Wedeadu and Trekume-Devego roads, as well as the construction of new school facilities in the area.
Looking ahead, Mr. Sefe outlined plans for his new term, focusing on expanding road networks in areas such as Tegbi Vakpormda and Woeviakpodzi, and extending electricity to several communities, including Bomigo, Galo Sota, and Setsinu. He also promised to extend water projects to Adakordzi and Agbatsivi, as well as enhance school infrastructure at various basic schools within the constituency.
“Youth empowerment was another key area of my focus, I will expand my apprenticeship and skill training programs to capture more youth particularly the men as well as mentorship opportunities for young people interested in fields like ICT and technology,”
“Within my four-year period, I will make sure to establish a driving school to train our young ones in driving and other skill acquisitions,”
Mr Sefe indicated his success is found in the support of his constituents
“I am grateful to my constituents for their support since 2020, and that is what will drive us to serve them more, by the end of my second term, I intend to reduce youth unemployment, make vegetable farming more attractive and make education in Anloga District the best,”
In terms of healthcare, the MP announced plans to build a CHIPS compound in Anloga Avume and improve facilities at several health centres, including Galo Sota and Anloga Polyclinic issues.
The thanksgiving service was attended by over 500 people, including party members, constituents, and influential community leaders such as Togbi Zewu IV, Dufia of Anloga, Togbi Subo II of Anloga, and Togbi Adoblanui II of Woe, Mama Dutsi I of Anloga, Revenerd Sebastian Sesi, Rev Raymond Sogah, other clergy members in the constituency and executives of the party in the constituency.
