Seyram Kpedor Empowers 30 Young Women Through Skills Training

Anloga, Volta Region — August 2026
Some Thirty young women have successfully completed a two-week intensive practical training programme in makeup artistry and other vocational skills in the Anloga District.
The maiden edition of the initiative, dubbed “Empowering Young Women Through Skills Development and Entrepreneurship,” was spearheaded by Madam Sandra Seyram Kpedor, as part of her personal commitment to equipping young women with employable skills and improving their opportunities in the job market.
The beneficiaries received practical training in makeup artistry, hairdressing, dressmaking, among other skills, under the supervision of experienced master craftswomen.

The training also focused on entrepreneurship, with participants encouraged to transform their acquired skills into sustainable sources of income.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Anloga District Assembly Hall, Madam Kpedor urged the beneficiaries to put their newly acquired skills into practice and take advantage of opportunities available to them.
Certificates of participation were presented to all 30 beneficiaries upon completion of the training.
The initiative forms part of efforts to promote skills development, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment among young women in the Anloga District.
Madam Kpedor, who is also the Anloga District Chief Executive, congratulated all 30 beneficiaries and wished them success as they embark on the next stage of their professional journey.
