Anticipation is building at the Keta Municipality ahead of a major humanitarian medical donation exercise expected to provide critical support to healthcare delivery in the Volta Region.
The initiative, dubbed “Helping Hands Medical Donation”, is scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Keta Government Hospital and is being organised by legal practitioner Lom Nuku Ahlijah, Esq., in partnership with the Living Presence Evangelistic Network.
This donation is expected to provide a wide range of essential medical supplies and equipment to strengthen hospitals and healthcare facilities in the Keta Municipality in delivering quality and timely care to patients in the area.
The donation package includes critical items for wound management and dressings, ostomy care, infection prevention, respiratory support, nutritional care, patient monitoring, mobility assistance, and chronic disease management, among other key equipment and consumables
Healthcare stakeholders say the intervention will provide much-needed relief to the facilities by reducing pressure on medical supply procurement while equipping frontline health workers with the necessary tools to enhance patient care.
Ahead of the exercise, organisers emphasised the humanitarian vision behind the initiative, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in improving healthcare outcomes.
The upcoming donation is expected to attract hospital authorities, healthcare professionals, and community stakeholders, who are hopeful that the intervention will contribute to improved patient recovery and strengthen healthcare delivery at the Keta Government Hospital.
