Ketu North Hospital Marks 2026 Nurses & Midwives Week with Community Outreach

The Ketu North Municipal Hospital has successfully commemorated their 2026 edition of the Nurses and Midwives Week with a series of community-focused activities.

These activities were aimed at promoting quality healthcare and strengthening teamwork among staff.

The four-day celebration, held from June 22 to 25, 2026, was observed under the theme, “Together for a Healthier Community.”

Activities began with a launching ceremony followed by a health walk to promote healthy living and raise public awareness. Nurses and midwives also conducted free health screening, health education and blood donation exercises, underscoring the hospital’s commitment to preventive healthcare and community wellbeing.

As part of the celebration, staff undertook a general cleaning exercise to promote environmental sanitation and reinforce the importance of a clean healthcare environment. The week also featured fun games, a cooking competition and a colourful durbar, which encouraged teamwork, unity and staff appreciation.

Hospital management commended the nurses and midwives for their unwavering dedication, professionalism and compassionate service, describing them as the backbone of quality healthcare delivery in the municipality.

The celebration ended with a renewed commitment by staff to continue working together to improve healthcare outcomes and build a healthier community through excellence in nursing and midwifery care.

Ketu North Municipal Hospital reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality, compassionate and patient-centred healthcare to residents of Ketu North and surrounding communities.
