“In God Unity We Stand”, a faith-based non-governmental organisation based in Madina, Accra, has successfully launched its educational outreach initiative dubbed the NexGen Aid Project in the North Dayi District of the Volta Region, aimed at improving lives and empowering communities through faith, unity, and service.
The outreach programme which officially commenced at Aveme Amanfrom Basic School on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, with support from education authorities, school heads, and community leaders in six schools in the district
Mr Evans Donkor, the Founder and Chairman of the organisation, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Dynamic Painting, in his address, said the launch marked the beginning of a broader mission that focuses on improving lives and empowering communities through faith, unity, and service.
“The NexGen Aid Project would benefit six schools in the district and forms part of the organisation’s wider commitment to supporting education, healthcare, orphans and community development,”
Mr. Donkor announced that the NGO would distribute 5,000 exercise books, pens, pencils, and mathematical sets to pupils in the beneficiary schools, and as well expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their support.
The beneficiary schools are Aveme Amanfrom, Wusuta Kpebe Tornu-Sakatsre, Awate Tornu, Tsorxor Tornu, Blada Tornu, and Zanukorfe Basic Schools
Mr Bless E.K. Adortor, the Project Coordinator and Public Relations Officer, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Blissful Electricals, mentioned that the initiative was inspired by the educational challenges faced by children in riverbank communities within the district.
He noted that many pupils attend school without basic learning materials, a situation that motivated the group to intervene.
Mr. Adortor commended the group members, including painters, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and furniture makers, for their sacrifice and commitment toward the success of the project.
He also expressed gratitude to the project’s sponsors, Blissful Electrical Services and LLB Construction, as well Kpando based local media partners Akpini Radio and Chiboy Media for their support.
He encouraged beneficiary pupils to make good use of the materials and remain committed to their studies.
A total of 117 pupils benefited from the donation of 982 exercise books and other educational materials
Dignitaries from the North Dayi District Education Directorate, including Mr Adjah John Yao Agbeko, District Director of Education, under the auspices of the board of management of the organisation led by Evans Donkor, Nartey Amuyao, Enoch Adiebetsi, and others, including Kingsley Gbordzoe, Bless Adortor, Festus Yevu, William Amekudzi, Albert Ameha, Isaac Diamro, Johnson Amekorfia, and Constance Chawey.
The District Director of Education North Dayi, Mr. Adjah John Yao Agbeko, commended the organizers for their commitment to supporting learners in underserved areas, described the young men and women behind the initiative as positive role models in youth contributing meaningfully to national development.
Mr. Agbeko urged pupils to remain disciplined, respect authorities, and take their studies seriously, emphasized that education remains the surest path to a brighter future.
He however appealed to individuals, organizations, and stakeholders to support educational development in the district, especially in lakeside communities where many pupils face significant challenges.
The Headmaster of Aveme Amanfrom Basic School, Mr. Tumfuor Ernest, expressed profound appreciation to the NGO for the timely donation.
According to him, the support would significantly improve teaching and learning, particularly for orphaned and underprivileged pupils who struggle to access basic educational materials.
He noted that the donation would help reduce some of the challenges that contribute to absenteeism and school dropouts in the community, and appealed to other benevolent organizations to emulate the gesture
