Abor, Volta Region — July 2026
Lawyer Lom Nuku Ahlijah, a community development advocate and legal practitioner, has donated sets of sanitation equipment to the Keta Municipal Assembly ahead of the two-day to National General Cleaning Exercise

The items, presented at the Abor lorry station on Wednesday, were received by the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Wisdom Seade. They will be distributed to the Assembly and its seven zonal councils to facilitate sanitation exercises, particularly in flood-affected communities.
The donation comprises 35 cutlasses, 35 shovels, 35 spades, 35 pairs of Wellington boots, 35 head pans, 35 pairs of protective gloves, and seven wheelbarrows all totaling 217 items.
Presenting the items, Lawyer Ahlijah described the gesture as his contribution to ensuring the success of the nationwide clean-up campaign.

“It is only fitting that we support the exercise with the tools needed to carry out this responsibility effectively. This donation reflects our collective commitment to building cleaner, healthier and more resilient communities,” Mr Ahlijah.
He urged residents of the Keta Municipality to actively participate in the upcoming clean-up exercise and adopt good sanitation practices beyond the two-day campaign.
Lawyer Ahlijah also called on corporate organisations, community groups and development partners to support local authorities in promoting environmental sanitation and preventing future flooding.
The donation forms part of his ongoing commitment to community development and collaboration with local authorities to improve livelihoods across the Keta Municipality.
