Volta GES Holds Maiden Education Clinic to Drive Better Secondary School Outcomes

The Volta Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has successfully concluded a three-day Education Clinic aimed at strengthening the capacity of teachers and school managers to improve educational outcomes in the region.

Held from Wednesday, August 19 to Friday, August 21, 2026, at Chances Hotel in Ho, the maiden Volta Regional Education Clinic focused on strategic planning, peer learning and practical approaches to improving secondary education outcomes.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Acting Volta Regional Director of Education, Mrs Marian Jemima Akua Adzroe, brought together Headmasters and Headmistresses of Senior High Schools (SHSs) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTSs), alongside national and regional education leaders.

Participants engaged in strategic discussions and peer-learning sessions designed to identify challenges confronting secondary education and develop practical, context-specific solutions to enhance teaching, learning and school management across the region.

The successful conclusion of the maiden clinic marks an important step towards strengthening collaboration, leadership and innovation among education managers in the Volta Region.

The Volta Regional Education Directorate has commended the sponsors, guest speakers, partners and participating school heads for their contributions to making the initiative a success.
