Angela List Elected 1st Vice President of Ghana Chamber of Mines; Elevates Industry Leadership Profile

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nguvu Mining Limited, Angela List, has been elected 1st Vice President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines following a decisive vote at the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting in Accra.

Her elevation marks a significant milestone in her leadership journey within Ghana’s mining sector, where she has steadily risen through the ranks, previously serving as 2nd Vice President before her latest election.

With over 25 years of experience in mining and resource development across West Africa, Madam List brings extensive industry expertise to her new role. She is widely recognised as one of Africa’s leading female mining entrepreneurs and oversees a portfolio of mining operations, including Adamus Resources Limited, Northern Ashanti Mining Company Limited, Segala Mining Company, Samira Hill Gold Mine, and Poura Resources Limited.

Following her election, she pledged to deploy her experience to strengthen the Chamber’s strategic direction and enhance the value derived from Ghana’s mineral resources. She also reaffirmed her commitment to promoting greater female participation in the traditionally male-dominated mining sector, stressing that women have a critical role to play in shaping the industry’s future.

Her elevation from 2nd to 1st Vice President is widely seen as a vote of confidence in her leadership and contribution to the mining industry. She emphasized her readiness to shoulder the added responsibility, insisting she would remain committed to advancing the Chamber’s mandate without compromise.

Before assuming executive leadership at Nguvu Mining Limited, she served as Executive Director of BCM Ghana Limited and BCM International Limited, where she contributed to their growth into major mining services companies.

Madam List holds an MSc and MBA from the University of Manchester and a BSc in Administration from the University of Ghana. Her professional achievements have earned her multiple recognitions, including the 2025 Global Power Female Award in New York during the UN General Assembly, the Female CEO of the Year (2023), and a prestigious award from the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for her outstanding contributions to Ghana’s mining industry.
