JNR Studios Apologises to Enam Music Over Misinterpreted Promotional Content

JNR Studios has issued an official apology to Enam Music and the general public following widespread speculation over recently circulated promotional images of the artist.
In a formal statement released on Saturday April 11, management clarified that the visuals, which featured Enam Music performing traditional rites, were “strictly creative assets” intended to promote her new single music “Modzi,” a project said to celebrate African culture and tradition.
The studio emphasised that the content does not suggest any association with idol worship or voodoo practices.“We want to inform the general public that Enam Music is not associated with voodoo or idol worship,” the statement noted, attributing the backlash to a misunderstanding of the artistic concept.
JNR Studios further disclosed that it has taken immediate steps to remove all related images that could be misinterpreted, stating that the action was necessary to “protect the artist’s identity and reputation.”
The studio also appealed to the public to discontinue sharing the images, warning that their circulation “contributes to a false narrative that does not represent Enam Music’s personal beliefs or brand.”
While they reiterated their commitment to promoting African heritage through creative expression, JNR Studios expressed regret over the incident, acknowledging the distress and “false identity” labelling it may have caused the artist.
