Xavi Community to get Polyclinic soon

Dr Korku Awoonor, the Special Adviser to the Minister of Health has assured the people of Xavi in the Akatsi South Municipal and its surrounding communities on plans to convert the current CHIPS Compound into a polyclinic.
He disclosed this at a durbar of chiefs and people of Xavi during their 52nd Dunenyoza celebration over the weekend.
The polyclinic, according to Dr Awoomor, would come with all necessary equipment and apartments such as a theatre, bungalows and a resident doctor to serve the health needs of the people.

He said the area is fast outgrowing its current health facility and so the need for a more advanced health facility for the people of the area..
Dr Awoomor acknowledged the Health Minister, JK Horgli and Mr Bernard Ahiafor, the Member of Parliament for Akatsi South for their roles in making the polyclinic project a reality.
The people at the gathering received the good news with much joy, and excitement.
Togbui Ani V, Dufia of Xavi appreciated Dr Awoomor, the health Minister, the MP for Akatsi South, Hon Bernard Ahiafor, and all other personalities who have been working behind the scenes to help develop the Xavi community.
The festival Durbar was graced by other dignitaries including Mr the NDC Chairman for the Akatsi South constituency, Mr Daniel Dagba, the Municipal chief executive, Mr Martin Kofitsey the former MCE for Akatsi South, among other dignitaries.
