MP Sefe Supports Pupils in Deprived Communities with Key Stationery, Eases Burden on Parents

The Member of Parliament for Anloga Constituency, Mr Richard Kwame Sefe, has initiated the distribution of exercise books to pupils in deprived and underserved communities across the constituency.
The initiative targets pupils from Primary Three to Junior High School Three (JHS 3) in beneficiary schools and is intended to provide them with essential learning materials while supporting parents and guardians who may otherwise have to bear the full cost.
Schools in Fuveme,Atiteti, Tunu, Bomigo, Kpordui, Sodzi, Adzato and Akplorfudzi, among other communities, are benefiting from the intervention, with additional schools scheduled to receive their supplies in the coming week.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr Sefe said education remained one of the most important investments that could be made in the future of communities.
“Education remains one of the most important investments we can make in the future of our communities. However, for many families in underserved areas, the cost of basic school supplies can place an additional burden on parents and guardians,” he said.
In an interview with VeritasNewsGH, Mr Sefe said the intervention was driven by the need to address some of the everyday challenges that could stand between children and their education.
He said meaningful change did not always require major interventions, noting that addressing basic needs could make a significant difference in the educational journey of a child.
“No child should have to struggle with basic learning materials simply because of the circumstances of their community or family. When we invest in our children, we invest in the future of Anlo,” Mr Sefe said.
The distribution has generated excitement among beneficiary pupils, who expressed appreciation for the support and the opportunity to receive materials they require for their studies.
For teachers and school authorities, the intervention provides practical assistance at a time when some families continue to face challenges meeting the educational needs of their children.
Headteachers and staff of the beneficiary schools expressed gratitude to the MP for the support and appealed for additional assistance, including other teaching and learning materials and interventions to improve the learning environment.
Mr Sefe also expressed appreciation to teachers, community leaders, parents and other stakeholders for their role in supporting education and ensuring that children receive the necessary support to learn and develop.
For parents in some underserved communities of the Anloga Constituency, providing their children with basic learning materials can be an added financial burden, particularly for families already struggling to meet their daily needs.
The exercise book distribution forms part of efforts to support pupils in underserved communities and improve access to basic educational resources across the Anloga Constituency.
