Lawyer and development advocate, Lawyer Lom Nuku Ahlijah, has congratulated the newly elected branch executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Keta Constituency, describing their election as a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in them by party members.
In a goodwill message following the constituency’s branch elections, Mr Ahlijah commended the executives for securing the mandate of the grassroots and urged them to serve with dedication, humility and a strong sense of responsibility.
He said their victory should inspire them to work tirelessly to strengthen party unity, promote inclusiveness and contribute to the development of the constituency.
“Your election is a testament to the confidence our members have placed in you. I wish you wisdom, strength and success as you serve our great party and work together to build a stronger Keta and a better Ghana,” he stated.
Mr Ahlijah also appealed to unsuccessful candidates and all-party members to put aside any differences and rally behind the elected executives to move the party and the constituency forward.
In a subsequent engagement with Veritasnewsgh, he encouraged the new executives to place the collective interest of the party above personal ambitions, foster cooperation at all levels and remain committed to the ideals and vision of the NDC.
He expressed optimism that with committed leadership and a shared sense of purpose, the Keta Constituency would continue to maintain its position as one of the party’s strongholds while contributing meaningfully to national development.
He also charged them to be grassroots messengers and be responsible for propagating the good works of the ruling NDC government and President John Mahama. He said by so doing, the party will advance its prospects and remain in power past the 2028 elections.
Touching on his own commitment to the growth of the constituency, Mr Ahlijah disclosed that he would soon announce his personal plans and initiatives aimed at contributing to the development of Keta and the wider Anlo area.
“In the coming days, I will make a very bold announcement on how I can also contribute my quota to the total development of Keta and the entire Anlo land. I call on everyone to anticipate greater works ahead,” he said.
Mr Lom Nuku Ahlijah, an energy law expert and lecturer, is also recognised for his political engagement, mentorship and philanthropic activities within the Keta Municipality and beyond.
His recent interventions include the donation of cleaning equipment to support the Keta Municipal Assembly during the national two-day cleaning exercise, as well as various forms of assistance to individuals and community initiatives.
