The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has announced that the construction of a 30-bed Children’s Hospital at the Tafo Government Hospital is 85 per cent complete.
He expressing optimism that the facility will be completed and commissioned before the end of the year.
According to Nana B, the project was inspired by a personal commitment he made to God five years ago, on the eve of his 40th birthday, to facilitate the construction of a children’s ward to improve healthcare delivery for children.
He explained that the Tafo Government Hospital was selected for the project due to the poor condition of its existing children’s ward, which had become a major concern for both the Ghana Health Service and residents of the area.
Following a recent inspection of the project, Nana B said he was encouraged by the significant progress made, describing the initiative as one of the most meaningful undertakings of his life.
He expressed hope that the facility would be completed before the end of the year to provide quality healthcare services to children and support families in the community.
“As of my visit today, the project is 85 per cent complete. Watching this vision steadily become a reality has been one of the most meaningful and fulfilling journeys of my life,” Nana B stated.
According to him, the initiative was driven by a desire to serve humanity rather than personal recognition, adding that the project seeks to improve access to quality healthcare for future generations.
“This journey has never been about me. It has always been about giving hope, preserving lives, and leaving behind a legacy of compassion and service,”
Nana B thanked all individuals and organisations that have contributed to the project and expressed confidence that, by the grace of God, the children’s hospital would soon be completed and handed over for public use.
