A total of 1,023,836 registered voters across 2,351 polling stations are expected to cast their ballots, deciding the fate of 58 parliamentary candidates contesting in the region’s 18 constituencies.
Among the candidates, 11 are women, with the youngest being 30 years old and the oldest, 68. The contenders come from diverse professional backgrounds, including education, healthcare, business, and agriculture.
Mr. Eric Dzakpasu, the Regional Director of the Electoral Commission, assured the public of a smooth and orderly election process. He confirmed that all necessary logistics, including ballot papers and other voting materials, have been distributed to polling stations across the region.
