Volta NDC celebrates Doe Adjaho and Kwamigah Tanko on Council of State roles

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) chapter in the Volta Region has extended and shown immense joy to the Right Honorable Edward Doe Korbly Adjaho and Mr Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple on their various roles at the 9th Council of States.
In an official statement signed by Mr Mawutor Agbavitor, Volta Regional Chairman of the party, they lauded the former Speaker’s extensive experience and dedication to public service, describing him as the ideal leader to guide the Council in its advisory role to President John Dramani Mahama.
“The Volta Region takes great pride in this appointment, which further cements the region’s place in Ghana’s political landscape. Rt. Hon. Doe Adjaho’s elevation to this high office is not only a recognition of his illustrious career but also a testament to the calibre of leaders the Volta Region continues to produce,” the statement read.
Additionally, the Volta Regional NDC celebrated Mr Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, a philanthropist and a much-esteemed businessman, as a member of the Council of State. The party expressed confidence in his ability to bring valuable perspectives to the Council’s work in shaping national policies.
Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple was successfully elected as the representative for the Region in last week’s council election held at Ho, where he garnered about 80 per cent of the total votes cast, a result many described as an overwhelming endorsement by the delegates. Mr Tanko pledge to work with other candidates as he counsels President Mahama to bring the necessary laurels to the Region
Mr Edward Korbly Doe Adjaho was recently appointed by the President to serve on his council and subsequently appointed as the chairman of the 9th council, which was deemed as a good decision by the President considering the political experience the former speaker possess and how he intended to project the Region to higher heights.
The party celebrated their success, congratulated them and called on them to prioritise the Region’s needs in their duties.
