Speaker Appoints Grand Arena for 7th Meeting of the 4th Session of Parliamentary Session

The Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has officially designated the Grand Arena at the Accra International Conference Centre as the venue for the commencement of the Seventh Meeting of the Fourth Session of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic.

In a notice dated December 11, 2024, the Speaker emphasized that the appointment of this venue follows a notice issued on December 2, 2024, summoning Parliament for the meeting. The decision to convene at the Grand Arena highlights the Parliament’s commitment to ensuring adequate space and facilities for its deliberations.

This session of Parliament is expected to address critical legislative business as the country transitions to the leadership of President-elect John Dramani Mahama following his victory in the recent elections. Stakeholders anticipate significant discussions on governance, policy direction, and pressing national issues.

The official notice bears the signature of the Speaker and was issued from the Office of Parliament in Accra, reinforcing the institution’s preparedness for the upcoming session.
