Miss Enyonam Ahiabor, the 2025 Mama Hogbe Queen, has renewed calls for unity across Anloland and urged the general public to provide sustained support to pageant winners as they undertake community development and youth mentorship initiatives.

Miss Enyoam Ahiabor delivered the message when she and her runner-ups graced the Mama Avenor Pageant Night a fortnight ago in Akatsi, where they joined traditional leaders, pageant organisers, and community members in celebrating cultural excellence.

Addressing the gathering, Miss Enyonam highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts among youth across the various traditional blocks of Anlo, stressing that unity strengthens cultural identity and enhances the impact of community-focused projects.

“We are glad to have been honoured with this invitation. It is refreshing to see organisers acknowledge that we are one people. When we stand together and support one another, we can uplift our communities and make Anloland stronger.”

When Veritas News had an exclusive engagement with her over the week on her statement, She emphasised that the responsibilities of pageant winners extend far beyond the coronation night, calling on families, friends, and the wider public to offer consistent encouragement and logistical support for queens as they embark on their mandated projects.

“Pageantry does not end after the grand finale. Our real work begins when the curtains close,” she pointed out. “There are many young girls and boys who look up to us, and we are committed to mentoring them. But to achieve meaningful impact, we need your continuous support, just as you support us during voting periods.”

The Mama Hogbe Queen was accompanied by Miss Grace Elikplim Agbetsi, the First runner-up, and Miss Newlove Kekeli Ahiatrogah, the Third runner-up, both of whom reinforced the queen’s message of unity and collaboration.

In a brief interaction with Veritas News after the program the next day, Miss Agbetsi stressed the urgency of empowering young people through consistent community initiatives:
“Support for pageant winners is support for the future generation. When we are empowered, we can guide more young people and influence the positive change we all hope to see.”
Miss Ahiatrogah, on her part, congratulated the winners of the Mama Avenor Pageant and applauded the organisers for promoting cultural values and giving young women a platform to lead.

“As sister queens, we stand ready to collaborate, support, and lift each other. Together, we can achieve our shared goals of cultural education, empowerment, and community impact,” Kekeli said

The Mama Hogbe Pageant was held a few weeks ago as part of the 2025 Anlo Hogbetsotso Za celebrations, while the Mama Avenor Pageant was also organised as part of the Avenortutudo Za.

Their presence at the Mama Avenor Pageant symbolised growing unity among cultural pageants in the Volta Region and highlighted the collective vision of grooming confident, culturally rooted young women dedicated to community development.
