The National Democratic Congress (NDC) branches at Keta and Anlo Constituencies all in the Volta Region said they are well prepared and positioned to welcome their flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, who intends to take his campaign tours to their respective constituencies this Friday.
John Dramani Mahama, currently on his campaign tour of the Volta Region, is expected to visit the two constituencies on Friday, August 16th, 2024.
In an exclusive interview with some of the constituency executives Tuesday afternoon, they sounded positive and assured their party members of a beautiful rally.
Mr Shugah Mawuli Anthonio, NDC Anlo Constituency Communication Officer, told Veritas News Ghana that, “We are 89 percent complete with our plans to welcome our flagbearer this Friday, We invite not only party members but the entire general public in the District who are disappointed in this government and have hope in Mahama to come listen to his messages of hope for a better Ghana, especially the youth,” Mr. Anthonio said
Mr. Emmanuel Kwaku Tay, Keta Constituency Secretary, also shared his readiness with Veritas News saying, “Keta is ready to host JM come Friday either rain or shine, we have put all plans in place in terms of protocol and security and I can assure all NDC sympathizers in Keta of a very resounding atmosphere, John Mahama will come and restore the lost hope of all constituents this weekend, so we entreat everyone to come around and have a first hand information on our 24hour economy policy,” Mr. Tay assured
According to a movement plan made available to Veritas News Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, the 2024 NDC national flagbearer has started a four-day tour of all eighteen (18) constituencies within the region from Tuesday, August 13th 2024 and is expected to end on Friday August 16th 2024.
For Anlo Constituency, He will be hosted at the Hogbe Park from 1:00PM to engage residents and party faithfuls, before moving to Dzelukope Roman Catholic School park in the Keta Constituency at 2:30 PM then to Anlo-Afidenyigba at 4:00 PM and Afife in the Ketu North Constituency from 5:30 PM before going back to Abor in Keta Constituency at 6:30 PM.
The two Members of Parliament, Mr Richard Kwame Sefe (Anlo) and Mr. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey (Keta) showed high spirits when they were engaged, they called on sympathizers to thrown the rally grounds in their numbers to welcome Mr Mahama.
Some party members interviewed by Veritas News Ghana also expressed high enthusiasm ahead of the event by saying;
“We are happy our Mahama has chosen to visit us to encourage us ahead of December, some of us will be at all the rally grounds from Anloga to Abor, he is our next President,” one NDC fanatic said
Before Friday, John Mahama is expected at Ho Central, Afadzato South, Hohoe, Kpando, North Dayi, and South Dayi constituencies respectively on Wednesday. And at Adaklu, Akatsi North, Ketu North, Ketu South and Akatsi South constituencies respectively on Thursday August 15th, 2024
The regional campaign forms part of the flagbearers “The Ghana We Want” tour on which he hopes to be elected as president of Republic of Ghana in the upcoming general elections on December 7th 2024.
