Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of celebrated Ghanaian highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba.
In a heartfelt tribute shared on his official Facebook timeline, Dr. Bawumia described him as a “true music icon” whose illustrious career, spanning over three decades, shaped Ghana’s music landscape and nurtured many talents.
“His brilliant compositions have not only entertained but also inspired and uplifted many of us,” the Vice President stated. He added that Daddy Lumba’s passing is a significant loss to both the music fraternity and the nation at large.
Dr. Bawumia, together with the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, extended their condolences to the late musician’s family, fans, and the entire country.
