Bayern Munich needs only 4 points from 12 to win their 33rd German Bundesliga title and the special spice on this years title glory will be Harry Kane’s demolition of a lifelong jinx of trophy barrenness in a career of hard work and perseverance.
The big question in everybody’s mind is “Will Harry Kane finally break his jinx? ” or the unfortunate destiny will steal the glory away from him again.
Kane is a famous goal poacher who bangs in goals in freestyle but nothing to show for them. Every season starts with joy and ends with tears and heartbreak for the England captain whose superior goal efforts get abortion on the trophy delivery bed.
Harry Kane, an all time highest goalscorer for the England national team and Tottenham Hotspurs endured a traumatic spell at Tottenham where he ended his 9 years journey with 213 goals without even half a trophy in his cabinet. His desperate long for a silverware forced his divorce with Tottenham so he can redefine his destiny in Germany, preferably in the Allianz Arena for Bayern Munich.
Kane’s choice of Bayern Munich was a carefully thought through and perfect one because the German giants have been winning trophies season after season including 11 consecutive years without a break so there is absolute certainty that Kane will surely lift a trophy when he joins Bayern Munich.
To the shock of everyone including Kane himself, the jinx never left him when he moved from Tottenham to Bayern. In his first year, Bayern Munich uncharacteristically lost all possible trophies that season following the arrival of Kane. The woes continue even in different colours.
This is another season for Kane to try and break the jinx. Everything seems to be working well this far, but there is a silent darkness clouding the season for Kane which can send shivers down our spines and cause another shatter for the 31-year old.
Kane’s Bayern is competing for three trophies in the season but they have already lost two: the champions league and DFB Pokal. The last and only hope is the Bundesliga title which is an inch away from confirmation.
Hopefully and possibly, Kane will laugh at last because they are in pole position to secure this year’s title which they are 8 points ahead of their closest challenger-Leverkusen. However, there is a flash of danger likely to soil the soup for Kane if care is not taken. Two of the possible trophies are gone already. Can that be the Kane factor at work or what should serial winners like Bayern Munich blame for their elimination from a common DFB Pokal?
Indeed, if it is the destiny of Kane that shut those doors to deny Kane a trophy, then it might come again at this eve of a possible celebration.
Four matches remain to go for glory against destiny or another gory and fingers are crossed as Kane takes a swipe at his destiny. It a personal battle between Kane and Nature and with the clock ticking fastest, Harry Kane’s fate is still remains in the hands of fate.
Let’s wait and see how it ends. If you say a prayer, say one for Kane.
