Terry Yegbe Wins First European Trophy with New Club

Ghanaian defender Terry Yegbe has started his journey at Polish club Lech Poznań on a high note, winning his first European trophy after helping the side secure the Polish Cup with a 3-1 victory over Górnik Zabrze.
The 25-year-old centre-back played the full duration of the final on his debut for the club, delivering a composed performance in defence as Lech overturned an early setback to lift the title.
Górnik Zabrze took the lead in the 14th minute, but Lech responded through Antoni Kozubal before the break to restore parity. Mikael Ishak put Lech ahead shortly after the restart, while Pablo Rodriguez sealed the victory in the 69th minute.
Yegbe, who joined Lech Poznań recently from French side FC Metz, immediately earned a starting role and impressed in his first competitive appearance for the club.

The former Akatsi Kickers FC player signed a long-term contract with Lech that will keep him at the Polish side until 2030, following FC Metz’s relegation from the French Ligue 1 at the end of the 2025/26 season.
The defender’s impressive debut comes ahead of Lech Poznań’s next challenge , a UEFA Champions League qualifying match against Danish side AGF on July 21 — as the club begins its campaign for European football.
