Agbozume: Xornam Favour Visits Flood Victims, Pledges Support

Agbozume, (Volta Region) – July 2026

Xornam Favour Ignatius-Dei, The Deputy Women’s Organizer for the Ketu South Constituency, has paid a solidarity visit to flood-affected communities in Agbozume.

The affected communities includes, Logove Amefinukope, Agbozume Logove Zongo, and Agbozume Logove Babanawokope

Her tour was meant to sympathize with residents and assess the devastating impact of the recent floods.


The visit formed part of efforts to engage directly with affected families, understand the scale of the disaster, and reaffirm a commitment to advocating for urgent relief and recovery support.


The delegation was warmly received by the Assembly Member for the area, who led the team through the affected communities and introduced them to families whose homes, properties, and sources of livelihood have been severely affected by the floods.

During the tour, the team witnessed extensive destruction, including damaged homes, displaced residents, and the difficult living conditions many families are currently enduring.


Speaking during the visit, Xornam Favour Ignatius-Dei assured residents that they have not been forgotten and that they are not alone in these trying times. She emphasized the importance of standing in solidarity with the affected communities while working with relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure that the needed assistance reaches every deserving family as quickly as possible.


The team also took time to listen to the concerns of residents, who shared the challenges they have faced since the floods.

The firsthand assessment highlighted the urgent need for humanitarian assistance, restoration of livelihoods, and long-term interventions to prevent future occurrences.


She reiterated her commitment to continuously advocate for relief efforts and support until the affected communities are restored.


“Today is not only about witnessing the destruction but about standing together as one family. In moments like these, our greatest strength is our unity and compassion for one another. We stand in solidarity with every affected family and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure help reaches those in need,”

“Together, we will overcome this challenge and rebuild stronger than before,” she said.


She concluded by praying for strength, comfort, hope, and restoration for all affected families as they recover from the disaster.
