Togbi Adzenu III, Divisional Chief of Dzodze Apeyeme-Agorgorme, has initiated steps to support the construction of a six-unit classroom block in the Dzodze-Torve community.
The chief provided heavy machinery, including earth-moving equipment for the demolition of old structures at the project site, as well as graders to reshape the access road leading to the construction area to facilitate the movement of workers and equipment.
According to residents of Torve, Togbi Adzenu III’s intervention played a crucial role in preparing the site for the commencement of the classroom block project. He was commended by residents and other stakeholders for his continuous and benevolent support for infrastructural development in the area.
Checks revealed that the chief recently supported the rehabilitation of the Dzodze Apeyeme Central Junior High School with 50 bags of cement and a quantity of sand after parts of the school were damaged by severe flooding.
Speaking to Veritas News, Togbi Adzenu III said education remained one of his top priorities and called on other traditional rulers to complement government efforts in development.
“Development is a shared responsibility, and as traditional leaders, we must complement government efforts to ensure our communities continue to progress. Education remains the foundation of community development, and investing in our children today is the surest way to secure a better future for Dzodze,” he said.
He further stated that he had outlined several development projects for the area and remained committed to working with stakeholders to accelerate socio-economic development in the community.
Togbi Adzenu III also called on residents to support ongoing development initiatives and work collectively to ensure the progress of the area.
