Benard Ahiafor Boosts Digital Learning with Identra Ghana Support in Akatsi South

Hon. Benard Ahiafor, Member of Parliament for Akatsi South, in collaboration with the Identra Ghana Foundation, has successfully donated information technology equipment to the Akatsi South Municipal Education Directorate for onward distribution to selected basic schools within the municipality.

The initiative, comprising 100 laptop computers and 70 children’s tablets, is part of a sustained effort to enhance digital literacy and improve access to educational resources for young learners in underserved communities. Beneficiary schools include Duawodome, Atidzive, Torve, Have, Wuxor, Wodome, Monome, Atsiekpui, Gefia, and Agorve Basic Schools. Additionally, the Municipal Education Directorate benefited from the intervention to strengthen its administrative and operational functions.

Speaking on the donation, Hon. Ahiafor said:

“We remain committed to supporting education and empowering the next generation through strategic partnerships and impactful interventions. This initiative is designed to give our children the digital tools they need to succeed. I also call on other partners and collaborators to join us in realizing our vision for the Municipality.”

The collaboration between the MP’s office and the Identra Ghana Foundation underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in promoting educational development and equipping students with essential ICT skills.
