NPP Holds Emergency Meeting Over Wontumi Court Ruling

The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has convened an emergency meeting to review a court judgment involving its Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, over the Samreboi mining matter.
A statement signed by the party’s General Secretary, Mr Justin Kodua Frimpong, Esq., made available to veritasnewsgh.com said the meeting, attended by the party leadership, its Flagbearer and legal team, was aimed at thoroughly assessing the court’s decision and determining the appropriate next course of action.
The statement noted that the party would communicate its official position and decisions arising from the deliberations in due course.
It also urged members of the NPP to remain calm, united and disciplined while rallying behind the leadership during what it described as a challenging moment.
“Let us remain calm, united, disciplined, and steadfast in our commitment to the values and interests of the New Patriotic Party,” the statement said.
