Your sacrifices are the pillars of our progress- Richard Sefe celebrates mothers with Stirring tribute

Anlo, Volta Region – Sunday, May 12, 2025 –In a deeply emotional Mother’s Day message, the Member of Parliament for Anlo Constituency, Hon. Richard Kwami Sefe, has lauded the enduring sacrifices of mothers, describing them as the “pillars of our progress” as a people and nation.
He highlighted the diverse roles played by women in society from the rural farmer to the classroom teacher, identifying the backbone of Ghana’s development in the everyday efforts and resilience of mothers.
“Your sacrifices are the pillars of our progress, from the rural farmer tending her crops at dawn, to the market woman sustaining families with her trade; from the single mother raising her children with unmatched resilience, to the nurse, teacher, and caregiver shaping future generations.” Mr Sefe said.
The statement, which has drawn wide praise on social media, depicts the MP’s appreciation for the unseen and often undervalued labor of women, especially those in underserved communities.Hon. Sefe used the occasion not only to express gratitude but also to call for renewed national commitment to policies that uplift women.
