Richard Sefe initiates rehabilitation of Volta Senior High School infrastructure

Mr Richard Kwame Sefe, The Member of Parliament for Anloga Constituency, has initiated processes to rehabilitate deteriorating classroom blocks at Volta Senior High School (VOLTASCO) in a significant move aimed at improving educational infrastructure and enhancing the learning environment.
The intervention is expected to give the school, located at Agbledomi, a much-needed facelift while addressing longstanding structural concerns affecting both students and staff.
Speaking during an educational tour of the school on Tuesday morning, Mr. Sefe underscored the importance of investing in quality learning spaces. He noted that the rehabilitation initiative forms part of broader efforts to strengthen education delivery within the constituency.
“These improvements are aimed at creating a more conducive and inspiring environment for teaching and learning, because our students deserve the very best as they pursue their academic goals,” he stated.
During the visit, the MP engaged with the Headteacher, and members of the school’s management, discussing pressing needs and strategic interventions required to elevate academic standards and institutional development.

Mr Sefe reaffirmed his commitment to prioritising education, emphasizing his determination to support both infrastructure and academic growth.
“Education remains a key priority, and I will continue to work tirelessly to improve infrastructure, provide support, and expand opportunities for our young people,” he assured.
Volta Senior High School has seen notable development since it was absorbed into the public system following a government takeover in 2016. This move formed part of national efforts to strengthen human capital development by integrating community-based schools into the formal education structure.
Subsequently, trained professional teachers across multiple disciplines were deployed to the institution, significantly improving teaching and learning outcomes. Currently, the school offers four main academic programmes: Visual Arts, Home Economics, General Arts, and Business.
Education stakeholders within the Anloga District have welcomed the MP’s intervention, describing it as timely and critical to sustaining academic excellence and boosting student motivation.
Reiterating his dedication to the school community, Mr. Sefe assured management, staff, and students of his continued support as they work together to build a better future.
Mr Sefe has consistently supported VOLTASCO since assuming office as Member of Parliament for the area. Earlier, he donated cash, sports equipment, and other items to enhance the school’s preparedness for the recently concluded Southern Zonal Inter-Schools Sports Festival.
The rehabilitation project is expected not only to improve physical infrastructure but also to boost morale among students and teachers, reinforcing a shared vision of educational excellence in Anlo.
With such initiatives underway, the Anlo constituency continues to position itself as a growing hub for quality education, driven by strategic leadership and community-focused development.
“Together, we are building a stronger Anlo.”
