President Mahama appoints New security chiefs

Accra, Ghana – President John Dramani Mahama has announced the appointment of new heads for three key security agencies in Ghana, as part of efforts to enhance national security and operational efficiency within the security services.
In a statement issued by the Presidency on Friday, March 14, 2025, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, confirmed the appointments.
The newly appointed security chiefs are:
- Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service – DDGP 3 Patience Baffoe-Bonnie
- Chief Fire Officer – DCFO Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong
- Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service – DCI Samuel Basentale Amadu
These appointments mark a significant step in reinforcing leadership within Ghana’s security services. The new appointees are expected to bring their experience and expertise to ensure improved service delivery and the protection of national interests.
