National Media Commission reconstitutes boards of GBC, GNA and other state-owned media houses

The National Media Commission (NMC) has reconstituted the governing boards of some four state-owned media houses and corporation in accordance with the Article 168 of the 1992 Constitution and session 2 (1) (e) of the National Media Commission Act 449.

This media houses includes, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Ghana News Agency (GNA), Graphic Communications Groups Limited and New Times Corporations

This was contained in a press statement released by the commission dated July 31st 2024 signed by Mr. Alexander Bannerman, Deputy Executive Secretary of the Commission.

“In accordance with article 168 of the Constitution and section 2(1)(e) of the National Media Commission Act, 1993 (Act 449), the National Commission has, in consultation with H.E The President, appointed the following persons to the governing boards of public corporations managing the state-owned media,” The statement said.
