GES extends deadline for 2022 College of Education self-posting applicants

The Ghana Education Service has announced an extension on the self-posting by the 2022 Colleges of Education applicants to August 21 2024

In a letter dated July 30th 2024 signed by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Head of public relations at the Ghana Education Service and sighted by veritasnewsgh.com, the ministry says the extension has become necessary due to unforeseen technical difficulties with the recruitment portal which they say is currently under control.

“We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issues and complete the self-posting process,” The letter says.

The deadline for the closure of the portal previously slated for July 31 2024 and the submission of appointment letters also slated for August 7 2024 have all been extended to Wednesday. August 21 2024.

The ministry called on all applicants to keep monitoring the GES website and other related official channels for regular communications and updates

More than 12,000 teacher trainees who graduated from the 46 colleges of education nationwide since 2022 after their 4-year Bachelor of Education Degree (BEd) program are yet to be recruited after their mandatory national service.

Applicants are encouraged to utilize the period to complete their application processes for further engagements.
