Chief Tanko Atokple applauds ministerial nominations of Agbodza and Gomashie; pledges collaboration for Volta’s development

Chief Gabriel Kwamigah “Tanko” Atokple, a Council of State aspirant for the Volta Region, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza and Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie on their recent nominations as ministers in President John Dramani Mahama’s administration.

In a press statement issued after the announcement, Chief Atokple, praised the appointments, describing them as a testament to the trust and confidence President Mahama places in these personalities. He expressed optimism that their leadership will bring significant advancements to their respective sectors.

Chief Atokple expressed confidence in Mr Kwame Governs Agbodza’s ability to improve the nation’s road network to enhance connectivity to drive economic growth for all Ghanaians.

“This nomination represents a pivotal opportunity for the country to address its infrastructure challenges. Hon. Agbodza’s expertise in this sector and vision will undoubtedly lead to progress in road construction and maintenance, benefiting communities nationwide,” Mr Atokple noted.

Chief Atokple also highlighted Madam Dzifa Abla Gomashie’s passion and deep understanding of the creative arts sector as an essential pair of hands for fostering tourism growth, creating jobs, and preserving the nation’s cultural heritage and identity.

“Hon. Mama Dzifa Gomashie’s appointment is a well-deserved acknowledgement of her tireless efforts in promoting Ghanaian culture on both local and international platforms. I have no doubt she will champion initiatives that will transform our tourism and cultural industries,”

Chief Atokple promised his commitment to building strong partnerships with both ministers to advance the development of the Volta Region, should he have the honour of serving on the Council of State.

“I extend my best wishes to Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza and Hon. Dzifa Abla Gomashie for success in their new roles and look forward to the transformative contributions they will make to Ghana’s development.”
