CLOGSAG declares a nationwide strike beginning tomorrow

The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) has eventually and officially declared a nationwide strike, which is set to begin on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
In an official statement dated February 18, 2025, signed by Mr Isaac Bampoe Addo, Executive Secretary, they called on their members nationwide to get ready for the industrial action
The Association raised concerns earlier about the appointment of Mr Samuel Adom Botchway as the head of the Birth and Death Registry, The Association claims Mr Botchway is explicitly exposed politically and hence does not merit the role.
CLOGSAG announced their intention to embark on the strike despite the Government’s assurances to reassign Mr Botchway
CLOGSAG urged all members to comply with the strike directive.
