The Global Chapter of the Anlo Senior High School Old Students Association (ANSSOSA-GLOBAL) has stepped in to support the school (ANSECO) with the donation of some 150 mono desks, responding to growing infrastructural and logistical challenges linked to increased student enrolment.
The donation, which cost about GH¢60,000, was presented on Friday, January 23rd 2026, by members of the association’s leadership, led by Reverend Selorm Deyegbe and Mr Gabriel Agbanyo, both members of the ANSSOSA Electoral Committee Board, alongside other executives.
According to them, the presentation forms part of a deliberate effort by the Old students to support the School as a response to the rising enrolment, which is putting a strain on classroom furniture and learning facilities.

Mr Newman Dzieadzorve, Headmaster of the school, in receiving the items on behalf of the school, expressed profound gratitude to the alumni, describing the donation as timely and impactful.
“These desks have come at a better time. Our increased enrollment has placed immense strain on our infrastructure. These mono desks will immediately improve classroom conditions and directly enhance effective teaching and learning,” Mr Dzieadzorve said.
The desks would improve seating arrangements, enhance classroom comfort, and create a more conducive teaching and learning environment.
Reverend Selorm Deyegbe reaffirmed the association’s commitment to the continuous development of ANSECO and the welfare of its students.
“As old students, we recognise the challenges schools face due to growing student populations, particularly in infrastructure and logistics. This donation is our contribution to ensuring students learn in a dignified and supportive environment, and we remain committed to doing more whenever the need arises,” he stated.
After the presentation, the team had a tour of ongoing projects in the school, particularly the proposed site for a female bathroom project to be led by the ANSSOSA-2011 year batch, another major project aimed at promoting hygiene and sanitation on campus.

Mr Agbanyo, in his interactions with school management, staff, and a group of students, said their commitment, as alumni, in mobilising more resources to support the vision of positioning Anlo Senior High School as one of the leading senior high institutions in the Volta Region.
“Our collective responsibility as old students goes beyond giving back; it is about building a strong foundation that will enable ANSECO to grow, compete, and remain a centre of excellence in the Volta Region,” Mr Agbanyo said.
Anlo Senior High School remains one of the most prestigious second-cycle institutions, not only within the Anlo–Keta enclave but across the Volta Region, distinguished by strong academic performance and impressive co-curricular achievements.
With this continued collaboration between alumni, school authorities, and other stakeholders, the school is expected to benefit not only from infrastructural improvements but also from other resources that will further support quality education.
