AFCON 2025: Senegal, Morocco, Nigeria Dominates Tournaments’ Best XI

The Technical Study Group (TSG) of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the team of the tournament for the just ended TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) hosted in Morocco.
Champions Senegal had four players alongside finalist Morocco whiles bronze medalist Nigeria had three players
The Senegalese players are Idrissa Gueye, Sadio Mané, Pape Gueye, and Moussa Niakhate. Moroccan players are Yassine Bounou, Brahim Diaz, Achraf Hakimi, and Noussair Mazraoui, and while Nigerian players are Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen, and Calvin Bassey
The Team of the Tournament was chosen after a thorough technical assessment by the CAF Technical Study Group (TSG), which applied a fully integrated evaluation framework throughout the competition.
The process blended on-site and remote observations, reinforced by live data systems, multi-angle video coverage, and specialised video analysts, to guarantee a detailed, balanced, and objective assessment of performances across the tournament.
