Anloga District to mark Farmers’ Day at Dornorgbor ahead of national celebration

The Anloga District Assembly has announced plans to commemorate its 5th District Farmers’ Day, scheduled on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

The ceremony will take place at the Dornorgbor E.P. School Park, a suburb of Anloga, ahead of the national celebration on Friday, December 5, 2025.

The Assembly said the decision to host the district-level celebration earlier than the statutory December 5 date was to enable authorities, stakeholders and the general public to fully participate in this year’s national celebration being hosted by the Volta Region.

Madam Sandra Seyram Kpedor, District Chief Executive (DCE) of Anloga disclosed the development and extended an open invitation to residents across the district.

“I call on the entire public to join us to celebrate our hardworking farmers who sustain our communities and contribute immensely to our development,” she said.

Mr Franklin Agbove, District Agricultural Extension Officer assured the public of a well-organised and memorable celebration. 

Speaking to the media, he noted that all necessary preparations were underway to honour deserving farmers for their dedication and impact on food production.

He stated that the event would “befit the tireless efforts of our farmers and recognise their invaluable contributions.”

This year’s ceremony is expected to attract not only farmers, but also artisans, traditional authorities, political leaders, investors, and agricultural stakeholders from across the district

The 2025 Farmers’ Day which will be the 41st celebration in the country, and is being observed under the national theme: “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future,” will be observed at the Ho Sports Stadium
