Rolex Honesty vows to prioritise welfare of Accra, Anloga, Keta GPRTU members
Mr Rolex Agbey Miheso Honesty, Chairman of GPRTU-Accra, Anloga, Keta branch has promised to continue prioritising the welfare of his union members for proper service delivery.
Mr Rolex Miheso made this declaration over the weekend at Tudu in Accra when he was elected to lead the union for the sixth term.
He said he had championed the welfare of the union members when he served in various capacities for which the union members have bestowed their trust unto him again.
“During my 24 years of leadership, I made sure our drivers were well-catered for to be able to handle the passengers well, my past administration, I led so many projects including the renovation of the Tudu station yard by asphalting the lorry station, fixed security lights to promote proper illumination at night which allows passengers to safely access the yard at night,”
During an engagement with Veritas News Ghana, He promised to strengthen the existing free National Health Insurance Scheme and productive welfare services for member drivers as well as the security of passengers.
On the sideline of indiscipline, he said they have implemented the sticker report system for the past years which allows passengers and colleague drivers to report any reckless driving and impolite behaviour of any driver on the road, a system which has reduced accidents on the road.
The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) Accra-Anloga-Keta branch comprises member vehicle owners and drivers that plight the Keta, Anloga, Accra highway.
Some other executives elected were, Mr George Egar, Secretary, Mr Gabriel Anagbo Adabla, first trustee and Mr Moses Hialemegbe as 2nd Trustee.
