Dumsor Looms: Atuabo Gas Plant to shut down for 2 weeks of maintenance works

The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has announced through a press statement that there will be a shutdown of the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant for some critical maintenance works

In a statement issued on Monday, August 11, the Ministry indicated how critical the maintenance is to ensure efficiency and long-term operational safety.

The shutdown as requested by the Ghana National Gas Company Ltd., will commence from August 16 to August 30, 2025, lasting for two weeks

During the period, gas supply from the facility will be suspended to allow for comprehensive inspections, repairs, and upgrades to critical systems.

According to the Ministry, the maintenance works are part of the government’s commitment to guaranteeing the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant, which plays a central role in the country’s energy supply chain.
